Speed

On a white steed
In the gust of the wind
Speeding away
On a narrow alleyway
My beige light cloak
Flutters behind me
Without taking the bouts
Wanting to cling to me.
The blades of tall grass
On either side
Rise and fall like a tide
Waving in the wind
Touch my bare skin
In a gentle caress
And goad me forward to spin.
This is a lot of thrill
And the speed takes me further
The hooves never stop
Galloping on the soft land
And leave no dust behind.
The stretch of trail
Looks welcoming till the end
As far as my eyes can tend
Arousing interest within
To see what lies beyond.
