Locked A Door
Opportunities knock the door
That has been abandoned and locked,
Makes me doleful and baffled
To look at it.
They wait for affirmation
While I have walked out
Locking the door
And decided to not go back in.
The silver keys lay in my pocket
Only less brighter than my eyes that shone
To see all those well wishers pass by
With positive cards borne,
Smiling they said
To call anytime when I changed my mind.
Tugs at my heart
To let go what I started
I know I didn't do it right
But I've learnt a lot through this enterprise
Bitter truth and sweet nothings
They'll stay for sometime
Until new tides come in.
