The Harvest Moon
The night
She cradled on my sky
I didn’t realize
For her later on I’ll die.
She was just a child
Innocently pure in the wild
Love welled up in my eyes
I wanted everything for her to be nice
She flourished right under my eye
As the only beauty in the dark sky
Brightening it like a white sun
She still managed to blind everyone.
Its time I know
To let her go
Though for years to come
She’ll make more hearts succumb.
